Girard-perregaux, Laurel Collection, the first generation of Girard-Perregaux Laureato.
The first-generation GP Crown was designed by Adolfo Natalini, an architect from Milan, Italy. It drew inspiration from the dome of the Florence Cathedral and placed a thin octagonal bezel on a ring, seamlessly integrating it with the case while achieving a smooth transition from the case to the integrated bracelet. The movement has always been a strong suit of Girard-Perregaux. Back then, during the quartz crisis, the first-generation Crown was equipped with a top-quality quartz movement certified by the official Swiss observatory Neuschatel. Therefore, it is not surprising that the quartz back is transparent! The uniqueness of this wristwatch lies in the fact that its bezel is not the traditional rigid octagonal shape, but a slightly curved octagonal shape similar to an ellipsoid, resembling a PP nautilus, and it is paired with the same style of bracelet! Extremely precious and rare! ~
